CON/STEEL honored with Tilt-up Achievement Awards

October 04, 2010

CON/STEEL Alliance™ members and LJB Inc. received three Tilt-Up Achievement Awards in the 20th annual Tilt-up Concrete Association (TCA) competition. Each year, TCA honors projects that illustrate the variety, beauty and flexibility of tilt-up construction. Winning entries also showcase tilt-up’s unique ability to deliver projects faster and for less money.

With more than 1,300 tilt-up buildings constructed, it’s no surprise that CON/STEEL Tilt-Up Systems® has played a role in 40 TCA Tilt-Up Achievement Awards projects – more than any other company.

The Beck Office Building in Tampa, Fla. was selected as a recipient of the Excellence in Achievement awards, which recognizes state-of-the-art achievement in tilt-up construction with unique and inventive uses of the tilt-up construction method. This project was constructed in part by Sunshine Structures, Inc. of LeHigh Acres, Fla.

Two Tilt-Up Achievement Awards were also given to CON/STEEL Alliance™ members and LJB Inc. including:
  • 48ROCK (Lincoln, Neb.) – built by Ayars & Ayars
  • Mosaic Florida Operations Center (Lithia, Fla.) – built by Sunshine Structures, Inc.
The awards were presented at the 2010 TCA annual meeting in Irvine, Ca.
